Marine photographer Philip Plisson showcases his work in London

Well-known French photographer Philip Plisson is to showcase his work in London. The exhibition, called The Sea, will run from 17 May to 4 June at the Oxo Tower Wharf, on the River Thames walkway. The artist has 42 books to his name and has exhibited his work internationally, but The Sea marks his UK debut.

Plisson’s love of photography has seen him travel the world, taking shots of every kind of boat and seascape. He was awarded the title of Official Painter of the French Navy in 1990, and in 1994 was made a knight of the Legion d’Honneur. He has recently photographed the America’s Cup, and the catastrophic 2004 Tsunami in Asia.

More than 60 diverse images from around the world will be on display at the exhibition; prints will also be available to purchase.
