Fire destroys cruiser at Windermere marina

A 35ft motor cruiser was destroyed in a fire at Windermere Marina over the weekend, according to a report in the Westmorland Gazette.

No one was injured in the incident - the owners were sleeping at one of the properties in the Marina complex.

Three other boats moored alongside the cruiser were affected by heat damage.

A gas cylinder had exploded on board the cruiser before the fire service arrived, and it took three hours to bring the fire under control.
