Change of venue for the popular nautical jumble sale

This Sunday’s Kent Boat Jumble is being held at its
former home for the first time in six years.

The autumn event, held on 13 October from 10am to 3pm, is returning to The Hop
Farm, Maidstone, Paddock Wood, near
Tonbridge in Kent.

Chaddock & Fox Promotions, the company behind the boat jumble, said after six successful years at Kent Showground at Detling, they had made the move as successive rent hikes had made the
showground site ‘commercially non-viable’.

Kent Boat Jumble was previously held at The Hop Farm site from
2002 until 2008, where it built up a good reputation as a source of new
and used nautical bargains

With a coastline of more than 200 miles, Kent has a large boating fraternity.

Organisers
are predicting a bumper crowd who will enjoy a large selection of exhibitors
including dealers in: boats, chandlery, engines, paint, fibreglass, fittings
and fishing tackle.

Entry is £4 for adults while accompanied
children under 14 years are free.

Businesses or individuals interested in exhibiting at the Kent
Boat Jumble can pay on
the day or save £5 off the stand price by pre-booking online at
