Get help with planning, resourcing and promoting your club

Sailing clubs across the UK are being urged to book onto a series
of free interactive workshops running this winter.

The workshops will cover the three topics of planning, resourcing and promoting and aim to help clubs to
prepare for the 2014 season and beyond.

From planning a club programme to advertising  what you have to
offer, the workshops promise to cover the issues ‘that could make a huge
difference to the future of your club’.

Supported by Gallagher Heath, the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Club Workshops will be delivered by
RYA regional development officers (RDO).

RYA
RDO manager Chris McCormack said: ‘As the autumn approaches we know that clubs begin to plan their 2014
summer programme and are looking forward to the future.

‘At the RYA and within the RYA regional development team, we are also
looking at how we can support our sailing clubs with advice to help
them plan and grow over the short, medium and long term.’

RYA Club Workshops will last for two and a half hours and will
provide opportunity to hear about best practice, share ideas and to move
ahead with positive actions.
