Paul Fay

Paul Fay retired in 2020 after working as a metal yacht builder and designer, and an IIMS qualified surveyor specialising in metal yachts since the 1980s.

He started out in the motor industry as an accident repair specialist before a few years as a professional fireman. Paul left the fire brigade in 1981, built a Roberts Spray 36 in steel and sailed with his family across the Atlantic in 1985.

Now married to ‘Mo’ Fay-Jenkins (ex single handed sailor and author), they live aboard their yacht Ti-Gitu. Paul and Mo have both sailed extensively with a number of Atlantic crossings between them. Currently they sail all summer around the UK and Northern Europe.
