Atalanta OA - Round Britain Relay Cruise 2010

The Atalanta Owners Association has organised a Round britain Relay Cruise between 22 MAy and 28 August divided up into 14 week-long legs so that the maximum number of boats can take part.
The finish date has been pushed out in order to allow those boats doing the East Coast Race sufficient time to make their way to the Hamble to join in with the finish celebrations, should they wish to. Space has been booked with MDL for the start and finish at Hamble Point.
22 May - Hamble Point to Dover 120 miles
29 May - Dover to Great Yarmouth 95 miles
5 June - Great Yarmouth to Grimsby 96 miles
12 June - Grimsby to Tynemouth 123 miles
19 June - Tynemouth to Anstruther 90 miles
26 June - Anstruther to Peterhead 90 miles
3 July - Peterhead to Inverness 100 miles
10 July - Inverness to Oban 90 miles
17 July - Oban to Largs 90 miles
24 July - Largs to Peel IOM 100 miles
31 July - Peel to Caernarvon 90 miles
7 August - Caernarvon to Milford Haven 130 miles
14 August - Milford Haven to Falmouth 148 miles
21 August - Falmouth to Hamble Point 160 miles
Finish 28th August
The aim is to have as many boats as possible join on the last leg, perhaps from Weymouth, and have the flotilla arrive together at Hamble Point. To include your boat in any (or all ??) of these legs please send a private message to the Project Manager. For members who are restoring boats and would like to sail an Atalanta there are bound to be crewing opportunities, too.
