The Jersey Boat Show, in association with Barclays Wealth, in on from 1 - 3 May, in and around St Helier marina, the Show will tantalise taste buds with the fishy sights and smells of the new Fisherman’s Village. Famous, genuine Jersey produce will be on offer and there’s even a chance to go oriental with a new sushi bar.
To get a taste of life on the ocean waves visitors can head to the “Condor Get on Board” pontoons with a wide variety of boats to clamber aboard - the 79 metre Fisheries Protection vessel, HMS Mersey; the Tall Ship, Lord Nelson; the Port of Jersey tug, Duke of Normandy and two of the Navy’s training vessels, HMS Tracker and Trumpeter.
For a peek at life under the waves a new feature of the Show offers the chance to ‘Try a Dive’, with Dive Jersey and Florida Pools.
For a musical taste of the sea visitors will be treated to the world famous Beat Retreat by the Band of her Majesty’s Royal Marines. The band will also be joining young musicians from Jersey in a Gala Concert at Jersey’s Opera House.
For those looking to continue to savour the pleasures of boating the marina will be a floating showroom of boats, both power and sail. On the land visitors will find a unique marine shopping experience.
Opening the Show will be Jersey’s TV chef, Shaun Rankin and powerboat champion Shelley Jory. Rumour has it that Shaun will be teaching Shelley how to cook at the Show, but will Shelley get Shaun out in a powerboat?

Jersey Boat Show’s Facts and Figures
• This is the third Jersey Boat show to be organised by Jersey Harbours
• The popular Jubilee Sailing Trusts tall ship, Lord Nelson, will be among the other features to return to Jersey.
• An estimated 20,000 visitors enjoyed the Boat Show last year which featured nearly 80 exhibitors and more than 80 boats of all shapes and sizes.
• Overall during 2009 maritime visitors to Jersey were up 8% on 2008.
• During the whole of 2009, 22,000 yachtsmen arrived, with 7,600 boats and an average stay of two and half days.
