Ondeck Sailing has agreed to provide RYA courses to all customers affected by the loss of Hot Liquid‘s training recognition.

Last week Hot Liquid was banned from offering RYA training courses in the UK, following the rescue of its yacht, Liquid Vortex, by the RNLI on January 3 (pictured) – its third major rescue in a year.

But Ondeck has stepped in to ensure that people already booked onto Hot Liquid courses are unaffected by the situation.

Ondeck’s managing director, Michael William, said: ‘We are very keen to show that the RYA training community acts in true nautical tradition of coming to the aid of sailors in peril.

‘We have been burning the midnight oil in order to schedule courses for our own customers and cater for the influx of Hot Liquid customers.

‘We are pleased to now be in a position to seamlessly undertake the added workload and we are working with Hot Liquid to ensure all their customers are contacted and are offered this alternative solution.’

The RYA has also welcomed this solution.
