Organisers plan Leisure Show at Windsor too

The British boat show scene has lost a high profile event – the Sail Power and Watersports Show (Earl’s Court Boat Show) – for 2009 at least.

Following news this month of three US boat shows cancelled, Earl’s Court organiser, New Street Events has decided to throw its weight behind a new venture – the British Leisure Show – to be held at Windsor Racecourse in March 2010.

A third attempt at an Earl’s Court Boat Show (the Sail Power and Watersports Show) has been announced for November 2010.

Commenting on the show, Managing Director James Brooke said, “We very much look forward to returning to Earls Court next year. In the meantime, we are committed to developing a major marine sector within our new 2010 ‘British Leisure Show’.

The new event will feature a wide array of outdoor activities: boats and watersports will feature alongside camping and caravanning, but with a greater emphasis on extreme sports, such as such as free running, snowboarding, cave diving and more.
