Pushing the boat out

Pushing the boat out

Beaulieu spokesperson Jane Riddiford said: ‘The Classic Motorboat Association are planning to have 10 to 12 classic speedboats this year. We hope to have seven wooden classics, including two racing hydroplanes not seen at the event before, two aluminium exhibits including a very rare Albatross with an outboard and two GRP speedboats hopefully to include another very rare classic, a Riva Rudy which is a project boat.

‘As usual, there will be a variety of wood, GRP and Aluminium craft with projects as well as beautifully restored examples. There will be a number of boats not previously displayed including some very rare boats, including, we hope, a famous old hydroplane currently being restored.’
