Richard Barnard

Richard Barnard has been sailing dinghies and yachts for 50 years, mostly on the Essex and Suffolk coasts and rivers. He’s sailed further afield on square-riggers.

An RYA Shorebased Instructor, Richard occasionally teaches at the Nottage Maritime Institute in Essex, and continues to build and restore dinghies and yachts.

He now sails a Coaster Passagemaker 33 and a self-built 12ft catboat. Richard had his first article in PBO published over 40 years ago!
