A free event for visitors and visiting boats to attend and for boat jumble sellers to participate in

Whitehaven Marina will be throwing open its doors to the general public this Saturday, 30 August for its annual boat jumble and open day.

The event is free for visitors to walk in and have a stroll around, free for visiting boats to stay the night and free for anyone wanting to come and sell their spare boating bits and pieces.

There will be stalls and demonstrations too including marine electronics, safety equipment, a bouncy castle and ice cream.

Visitors are welcome from 10am to 4pm with an evening event for berth holders and exhibitors.
 
Included on the day is:
·       A bouncy castle
·       Raymarine demonstrations & electrical health checks from Chris Dobson Marine
·       Life-jacket checks & information from the RNLI
·       Chandlery & boat sales from Maiden Marine
·       The Whitehaven Harbour Youth Project
·       Hartley’s ice cream
 
The event also provides the perfect opportunity for visitors to view the new Marina Office and signage which highlight the continued investment by parent company Marina Projects.
 
Simone Morgan, Marina Manager said: ‘We are really looking forward to welcoming berth holders and visitors – both by water and by foot – to the marina.

‘The new office looks fantastic and makes our jobs much easier, and the signage provides a great welcome to everyone using the site. It should be a fun day.’

Berth holders and those exhibiting are invited to a BBQ on the Bulwark Quay.
