Offering a Boat Jumble, 2 for 1 berthing and displays...

Cumbria’s Whitehaven Marina, on the North West coast of England, will be taking part in the British Marine Federation’s (BMF) On the Water weekend.

The marina will have several exhibitors and a Boat Jumble on Saturday 27 April, and will also be offering two for one on visitor berthing from the 26 to 28 April.

For a £5 RNLI donation, sellers at the Boat Jumble can park their car on the Bulwark Quay and sell unwanted boating bits and chandlery.

It’s a good excuse to have a clear out, sell the spares and perhaps pick up a bargain for the forthcoming season.

Visitors can also talk to the team about Active Marina, the RYA’s programme designed to help boat owners get the most out of life with their boat through free workshops and demonstrations, Cruise in Company and other events.

ChrisDobson Marine’s very own Chris Dobson will be demonstrating the latest Raymarine equipment, advising on what kit to fit and taking bookings for free on board ‘electrical health checks’.

The St. Bees’ RNLI safety team will be providing general boating safety advice and free lifejacket checks, as well as one-on-one on-board tailored advice.

For those looking for new spares, the Whitehaven Marina team will have a small chandlery stall where boat owners can purchase items such as anodes, antifoul and ropes.

The marina is offering two nights’ berthing for the price of one over the weekend.
