It follows last week’s news from the PINS that Navitus Bay Development Limited’s (NBDL) formal application for development consent had been accepted and will move to the pre-examination stage.

Navitus
Bay Development Limited is proposing to build an offshore wind farm with up to
194, 200m-tall wind turbines situated in popular sailing waters off Dorset,
Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

All responses must be made on a Registered and Relevant Representation Form, which can be found on the PINS website. Alternatively, a paper copy can be obtained from PINS by telephoning 0303 444 5000.

A spokesman for the opposition group Challenge Navitus said: ‘If you feel strongly about this development you need to act now to make your voice heard. To do this, you have to register as an ‘Interested Party’ in the examination.

‘This does not oblige you to do anything further, but it allows you to record your concerns and to participate later in the examination if you want to. There is no other way of giving your feedback on NBDL’s final proposal, which has changed since the consultation last year.’

A paper copy of the Development Consent Application may be inspected free of charge throughout the period for submission of representations from 13 May to 23 June 2014 at the following locations during their opening hours:

Poole Central Library

Bournemouth Library

New Milton Town Hall

Lord Louis Library, Newport

The full suite of documents is available on DVD free of charge. A paper copy of the ‘non-technical summary of the environmental statement’ is available free of charge.

Copies can be obtained by emailing info@navitusbay.com, calling 0800 008 6763 or by writing to FREEPOST NAVITUS BAY WIND PARK.
