Sail4Cancer's fundraising initiative gathers pace

Sail 4 Cancer are inviting sailing clubs, organisations and individuals to help improve the quality of life for people living with cancer by holding a “Tea by the Sea” during the month of May.

A pot of tea and some delicious cakes and biscuits is all you need – invite friends and colleagues and ask them to make a donation to Sail 4 Cancer.

Now in its third year, it’s a simple but effective way to support this cancer charity.

‘And if there’s no sea nearby? Use your imagination,’ says Cathy Jenkins, PR Manager for the charity. ‘Borrow a sandpit and some seashells or a stripy deckchair; twist the name a little – we’ve had a “Tea by the Thames” and a “Cake by the Lake” to name just a couple of alternatives. It can be as low key or as high profile as you like; take a look at the Tea by the Sea 09 pack for ideas and suggestions.’
