Theft of Boats and Engines – Fermanagh

Detectives in Enniskillen are appealing for witnesses after thieves struck twice in a week on Lough Erne, Northern Ireland.

On evening of Wednesday 9th June eight outboard engines were stolen from boats at the marina at Letter Road close to Lough Erne in Co. Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. The haul included a 20hp and two 15hp Yamaha outboards, two 10hp Honda 4-strokes, and three 5hp Honda outboards.

The culprits made off in a 17′ blue Fulmar rowing boat stolen from a jetty at Boa Island, near Kesh.

It’s thought the same thieves then returned a week later and stolen a 21ft white Quicksilver 620 fishing boat with cabin and boat trailer (pictured without the trailer), which had chrome handrails and vhf radio and whip aerial fitted.

The boat had a 60hp mercury outboard attached.  There is a diamond-shaped extension on the trailer that makes it unique.
