Plans have been unveiled for a major redevelopment of Premier’s Noss-on-Dart Marina in Devon.

Premier Marinas, which bought the 37-acre former shipyard in March 2016, nearly two years after it went into administration, has submitted ideas for redevelopment prior to a full-scale planning application.

The site is within an Area of Outstanding National Beauty and the South Devon Heritage Coastline.

Proposals include creating a new 250-berth marina, dry stack and a boatyard, building homes, a hotel and boat storage ashore, a potential public slipway for small boats and a pontoon for a new pedestrian ferry service to Dartmouth.

The site currently has a capacity to berth up to 180 boats, a licence for 47 trot moorings and space for 400 boats ashore. A previous application to redevelop the site was submitted in 2009 but never granted. The previous owners went into administration.

If granted planning permission, Premier Marinas says the new development would be delivered in phases over a five-year period with the marina and boatyard expected to open in 2018.
