Congratulations to Penarth Marina and Portishead Quays Marina

Penarth Marina near Cardiff city centre has retained its five Gold Anchor rating following an assessment by The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA).

The marina boasts a new Pier 64 restaurant, 340 fully serviced berths, an ‘excellent environmental policy’ and lounge area where berth holders can watch TV and buy snacks.

Penarth Marina manager Stuart Jones said: ‘The bar has been raised with the tightening of the Gold Anchor Scheme standards and we are very happy that we’ve achieved the highest level of award again.’

Portishead Quay Marina, situated on the Bristol Channel near the mouth of the river Avon, is the second in the Quays Marina group to receive the highest possible rating in the TYHA award scheme, which measures marina quality.

The Portishead Quay facility currently offer 250 fully serviced berths and 24 hour staffing, 365 days a year and was described by assessor Gareth Turnbull as ‘a refreshingly nice and professional marina’.
