Prince Consort takes a battering

Anchoring – Rule 1:

When anchoring always check the anchor scope to ensure the arc through which you’ll swing will not bring you into contact with anything, such as the Prince Consort North Cardinal buoy off Cowes.

Or, if you must clout another maritime object, try to choose one not in one of the most popular sailing areas where yachties with cameras capture the moment for posterity!

Thanks to Trevor Taylor for sending it in. He adds: “No damage appeared to have been done to ship nor buoy. The only dents appear to be to the pride of the ship’s skipper, or was it the pilot?”
