The RNLI is appealing for items of jewellery, medals, and small objêts d’art to help fund its charity work in 2006.

The Jewellery Appeal has been running annually since 1986 and has provided a vital source of income to the charity, raising over £550,000. Through the generosity of the British and Irish public, last year alone raised £28,000; equivalent to the price of a new D-class inshore lifeboat, or the cost of providing training for 28 volunteer crew members.

Please send all unwanted jewellery and collectables to Roy Norgrove, Appeal Organiser, RNLI, West Quay Road, Poole, Dorset BH15 1HZ.
