Iron Age log boat from the Iron Age display at Lincoln's new archaeological museum

A log boat from the Iron Age has been put on display at Lincoln’s new archaeological museum, The Collection. Discovered by the Environment Agency in 2001 while they were working on flood defences in the region of Fiskerton, Lincolnshire, the 7m (23ft) oak boat required four years of conservation work and improvement to bring it to its present condition.

See the boat, together with other regional treasures from the Iron Age, at the Collection museum. Call them on 01522 550 990 or visit www.thecollection.lincoln.museum for further details.
