Is your sailing club the best in the UK?

Do you think your sailing club deserves special recognition?

Organisers of the RYA Club of the Year awards are looking for clubs that are successful at:

  • Encouraging people to get on the water

  • Providing a range of quality and safe activities for all

  • Attracting new club members and volunteers

  • Engaging with the local community, particularly young people

  • Demonstrating good governance and club management

Jackie Bennetts, RYA club support advisor, said: ‘Being part of the
RYA Club of the Year is a fantastic opportunity to put your club on the
map.

‘We know there are hundreds of clubs out there doing fantastic
things to encourage even more people to take up our sport.

‘The award
allows us to recognise and to promote the achievements of the best of
these clubs.’

Five awards up for grabs

Applications will be considered by the RYA awards panel from which
the top five clubs will receive an accolade.

An overall winner will be
chosen from these five finalists and will be announced at the RYA Dinghy
Show 2014 in March.

If you think your club is successful and forward-thinking all you have to do to enter is download the RYA Club of
the Year 2014 form, complete it and return to the RYA by 18
November 2013.
