Olympic and Paralympic stars cut the ribbon
Olympic and Paralympic sailors and rowers have opened the 44th Southampton Boat Show.
Four-times Olympic champion Ben Ainslie cut the ribbon, assisted by fellow gold medallists Paralympian Helena Lucas and rower Sophie Hoskins, after they and 13 of their colleagues toured the site in golf buggies to the acclaim of exhibitors and first-day visitors to the show.
Today is the first day of ten in Mayflower Park with an array of sail and power boats to suit on display.
