The RYA has banned Hot Liquid from providing RYA training courses in the UK.
The removal of RYA recognition comes after one of the sailing school's yachts had to be rescued by the RNLI on January 3 - its third major incident in 12 months.
Three days later the company was suspended from offering practical courses, but now a permanent ban of all courses has been confirmed.
RYA training manager and chief examiner Richard Falk said: 'The removal of RYA recognition from a training centre is never a decision that is taken lightly.
'However, it is essential that customers are confident that appropriate safety management routines are in place at any centre displaying the RYA Recognised Training Centre logo.'
Hot Liquid's Gibraltar base is unaffected by the ruling because, according to the RYA, 'operational safety management routines of that site are controlled separately to that of the Southampton site'.
The RYA advises customers who are booked on Hot Liquid UK's RYA courses to contact the school directly and if they have further queries they can contact the RYA on 02380 604100.

Absolutely the right thing to do, well done RYA! Glad to see the enforcement of the high training standards we have come to expect from the RYA and expulsion of those who do not maintain these standards. This was not a small transgression but one which could easily have resulted in loss of life, and not for the first time!
