Proceeds to John Merricks Sailing Trust

The UK’s Marine Industry Regatta returns to the Solent this year in aid of the John Merricks Sailing Trust.

Supported by British Sailing, Boating Business, IPC Media, Saltwater and Sunsail, the event will take place on 21 April at Gilkicker Point in the eastern Solent, where participants will be able to enjoy various racing events on a fleet of Jeanneau Sun Fast 37s from Sunsail, based at Premier’s Port Solent Marina.

There are currently nine boats entered into the competition, with more to come following the event launch at this year’s London boat show in January. Combined entries are welcome.

Entry cost includes a £100 donation to the Trust and also covers bare-boat charter; the cost of a Tuesday evening supper for eight crew; Wednesday bacon rolls; a packed lunch for eight crew during the racing; all race administration; tea and buns after the event; prizes and the prize-giving.
