September’s crime statistics make for sorry reading, as boat owners continue to get robbed of their engines and more.

The map below shows the outboard engine thefts in the Solent region alone.

On top of these seven incidents there were thefts from Levington Marina near Ipswich, Coltishall, Norfolk and Ratcliffe Wharf, Forton near Blackpool.

Also in September, a Westerley Tempest was stolen from Cowes, a Searay 5.3m speedboat from the Blackwater in Essex and a 2.4m tender from Walsham, Norfolk.
