Microspheres

Sometimes called ‘microballoons’, these are tiny bubbles of
air, encased in shells of glass or resin. So small that the resultant material
looks and feels like powder, they are mixed with resin to make a relatively
low-density filler for cavities in moulded or foam sandwich hulls.
