Passage planning? Be flexible!

There's no point thrashing your way to your intended destination when there's a perfectly good harbour that isn't 20 miles upwind. So, when planning a passage, make note of some options for 'Plan B' - and be prepared to head there if conditions worsen or circumstances change. Sailing is supposed to be fun after all!
