Leaving your boat in storms

When you're expecting strong winds - like this weekend - before you leave the boat, make sure you put a lashing around your furling jib so it can't get loose, add some extra fenders and lines and secure your sail covers. Check the lines for chafe, too, and she'll be snug and safe.

Sound advice - likewise to remove any canvas that is unnecessary, and anything topsides that may catch the wind that is not secured properly (Horseshoe bouys etc)!
