Turning the screws the right way

Most modern twin-engined powerboats have props that turn outwards (when viewed from astern starboard prop turns clockwise, port prop anti-clockwise). This means that when manouevring under a single engine, the paddle-wheel effect (prop-walk) acts in the same direction as the natural turn created by the single engine's position off the centre-line of the boat.
