Cutting veneered ply

Use a stanley knife to make your life easier

When cutting plywood with a veneer stuck on top and plan to use a jigsaw, score your intended cut lines first with a stanley knife. As long as you're accurate with the jigsaw, this should stop it splintering. Also, it's worth using a fine-toothed blade, and a slow speed.
