Dropping the kite: a top tip

Keep the spinnaker blanketed by the mainsail...

When dropping a spinnaker, it helps if it is behind the mainsail. Keep the boat running dead downwind while you drop it and it should be a piece of cake. If shorthanded, trip the guy and pull in on the sheet hard while doing so and it'll stay behind the main.
