It was great to meet so many PBO readers at the Beaulieu Boatjumble 2010 and even six from France. There’s nothing like it across the Channel, they explained and no magazine like PBO, writes Sarah Norbury.

Many readers we met do their boating on a trim budget, while others, including a posse of Hallberg-Rassy owners, have more to spend on fit out and maintenance but rely on PBO to help them make wise choices.

Meeting readers at the Boatjumble reminds me why PBO is Britain’s best-selling yachting magazine: doing your own boat work isn’t just about saving money, it’s pleasure in a job done yourself, whether for necessity or just because you enjoy it.
