An investigation is underway as to what started the fire that left one man in his 40's dead aboard a yacht in a Bristol boatyard early this morning.
Avon Fire and Rescue services were called to Albion Dockyard on Cumberland Road at about 2.40AM, where a fire burned aboard a steel-hulled yacht. Firefighters tackled the blaze and discovered the man's body on the boat. No other vessels were damaged by the fire.
A statement on the Avon and Somerset Constabulary website says: 'At this stage police do not believe the fire is suspicious.'
